Record Breaking First Sports Day for Christ College

 

Christ College’s first Sports Day was held at the Prince of Wales Stadium.

Despite intermittent rain, pupils from Christ College competed valiantly in a host of athletics events.

 

 

During the day, pupils set a variety of new records both on the track and on the field:

 

Track

Estelle Harris – Yr 8 300m

Simon Brady – Yr 8 100m

Chelcie Babbage - Yr 10 100m

 

Field

Lacey O’Connell  - Yr 7 Shot putt

Merzadess McIntosh – Yr 7 Long jump

Simon Brady – Yr8 Javelin

Rhys Tremlett – Yr10 High jump

 

Christ College PE Teacher Anna Williams said: “The first ever Christ College Sports Day was a great success. Well done to everyone who took to the field.  Winning is great, but it’s the taking part that’s brilliant!”
