What Goes Around Comes Around as Frisbee Lessons Help Teach Fair Play at Christ College
Year
7 Students at Christ College have been enjoying a series of sports lessons
with a difference.
Wes Bell and Paul Bennett from Cheltenham Youth for Christ have used games such as Football and Basket Ball, as well as Unihoc, Danish Long Ball and the Frisbee as platforms to introduce the concepts of winning with humility, losing with dignity, team work and fair play.
Says
Wes: “They are important values we are teaching, reflecting as they do the
Christian ethos of the school.”
Christ College PE Teacher
Anna Williams says:” Both the girls and boys in Year 7 have really
enjoyed participating and learning new sports, and at the same time they
have looked at Christian values and how they can be linked to the world of
sport”.
She
continues: “A big thank you goes out to Wes Bell and his team for his
continual motivation and enthusiasm that he has passed onto the pupils.
We look forward to working with
him next year”,
