Christ College Hosts Tag Rugby Friendly with Milestone School

 

Christ College was delighted to host a Tag Rugby match against Milestone School, Gloucester.

 

The Milestone team had benefited from eight training sessions at Gloucester Rugby Club, as well as having a tour of the new facilities at Kingsholm and attending the England v Ireland under 21 match at the stadium

 

The invitation subsequently went out from Christ College to give the Milestone team a chance to try out their new skills. Val Kennedy, Class Teacher at Milestone said: “It was a tremendous experience for us all, from the minibus journey to another school and the use of an ‘away’ changing room to the actual match itself. Our lads came away with a great sense of pride and achievement, despite not winning! We are very grateful to all at Christ College for making this possible.”

 

Ian Dance, Support Worker at Christ College said: “The event was played with great keenness and sportsmanship, with both sides keenly awaiting a rematch.”
