Balloons go up at Christ College for aerial charity
Christ
College pupils raised money for the County Air Ambulance Trust by staging a
balloon race. It was a spectacular event as the balloons were released, and
promptly soared over the school and out of sight.
Teacher Karl Morris said: “This was a year 9 charity fundraising event, and so far, we know of balloons that have travelled as far as Buckingham, Essex and even Herne Bay in Kent.”
The County
Air Ambulance Trust has operated since 1991, and its helicopters now cover
8000 square miles, and are available up to ten hours a day, seven days a
week.
