Chaplain Hannah Cooke Licensed at Christ College

Hannah Cooke was licensed as a Chaplain at a service at Christ College, Cheltenham.  The Bishop of Gloucester officiated at the  ceremony, attended by staff, students and governors, as well as Hannah’s family and friends.

Cheltenham-born Hannah got her degree in youth & community work and Applied Theology at the Bristol Centre for Youth Ministry.

Hannah said; "The role of Chaplain is a varied one that includes organising worship, taking school groups on residential retreats and one-on-one mentoring."

"I’m also here to be a shoulder to lean on in troubled times, as well as someone to share good news with. It’s a blessing to be called to this ministry"

Bishop Michael said: "Hannah Cooke will bring youthful vitality to the new post of Chaplain of Christ College. She will be a young person sharing her faith and her pastoral care in a school where I know it will be valued.

I am delighted to have been able to license her to this post."
